CIBC Foundation Gift to Advance Health Equity through Population Level Data
CIBC Foundation continues its longstanding support for Trillium Health Partners with a $1 million investment to shape a healthier tomorrow that is equitable and inclusive for our community and beyond.
This generous donation will help the hospital’s research and innovation engine Institute for Better Health (IBH) shape a more equitable future in health care. Scientists will explore current patterns and trends in cancer screening and explore health variation and inequalities among important equity seeking groups. In partnership with the hospital’s Regional Cancer Centre team, these learnings will support health system planning, both for THP and for its community partners . Funding will also create an innovative model for cancer screening in the community, which will benefit other cancer screening programs locally, nationally and internationally .
CIBC Foundation’s most recent gift builds on its longstanding commitment to support cancer research and will advance Trillium Health Partners’ mission to create a new kind of health care for a healthier community for all.
